    An almost one year review. As many have reviewed this and other bibles when they are new out of the box, I thought it would be proper to give a real world review after my first read through. In short this bible is a tank! Usually after a read through defects show up in craftsmanship or materials. This is my first one I can honestly say has no defects at all. Even my much loved Cambridge bibles have not done this.
    First the cover. The buffalo hide is amazing. It was nice when new and now it has softened and has an almost antique look to it. My only complaint with the cover is the full yap. It is my preference to not have it. Yes it looks cool, but I tend to hold the text block rather than the cover and text block when sitting up reading. Again my preference. Does the full yap protect the page edges? Eh.
    The paper has held up well. It is not blinding white which makes it comfortable to read. I use a bic pen to make notes and the bleed through is minimal. I don’t believe in buying special pens to take notes. Never have never will. If you need a “special” pen then there is a problem. The printing is very consistent. A few pages here and there in the old testament seem a touch lighter than most but does not bother me in the least.The print size is fine for me with or without my old man spectacles on. This copy is black letter so no review on red letter consistency. This is actually my first black letter in 40 years of study and I like it. Some people in church almost gasp in horror that it is not red letter. Like I made a league with the enemy. Get over it. Every word is important. Every word is the word of Christ. Again personal preference.
    The gilding has held up very well. Not as shiny as it was when new but it is used daily and travels to work with me everyday.
    To sum up, I think I made a great purchase. I feel the quality when I hold it, I see the quality when I read it. Yes the cover still smells like leather when I sniff it. Its a great size for me, not too large, not too small. Am I a professional reviewer? No. However I know quality when I see it. Thank you so much Church Bible Publishers for an excellent product that I will use until I am called home.

    Elegant ! Took my fancy new Bible to church for the first time and it turned heads. One lady asked to look at it and she gave it back to me and said “this is the most elegant Bible I have ever seen.” I must agree with her I will never have another Bible as nice as this. The quality and workmanship is second to none. The turquoise is easy to read with very little ghosting. It has an amazing dictionary and concordance. I can only say CBP keep up the excellent work! I am looking forward to many many years of study. Thank you for the care and respect you give these bibles.

    Bought this bible to be my everyday carry bible. My review of water buffalo leather shows it to be a very tough and durable leather. And this Bible was a great surprise. The quality and workmanship that went into this bible is second to none. And the water buffalo leather is impressive (may need to get a pair of boots out of this leather). The gold gilt is fantastic!!! Got the Turquoise text block as it is easy to read without a lot of subscript and superscript and underlining in the way. The center column references are nice as it is found next to the verse. And the print is great, very readable for these eyes. Really like this bible. It was well worth every penny. Thank the Lord for Church Bible Publishers. Their ministry is making top quality bibles available at a very affordable price. The nice part is these bibles are only available in King James.     I have owned many well made bibles in my life and as nice as they were I find this bible to be my favorite. The quality is outstanding, the paper is fantastic and the print is clear and bold throughout which makes reading easier on my old eyes! I have the platinum TCR and was impressed with it’s quality but it is rather large to carry around but this turquoise us perfect in size for that.
    If you’re in the fence about buying one of these buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Wow is all I can say. I have Bibles in Calfskin, Goatskin and Cowhide leathers, but nothing compares to this Water Buffalo. I love the Turquoise in Large Print, but this is still so readable and a great carry Bible. The Water Buffalo feels tough and durable. The yapp is certainly a full yapp and can completely cover the beautiful gold gilding. CBP is just the king of KJV Bible craftsmanship. Incredible! Breathtaking! I don’t have the words…
