Christine –
I received this Bible in burgundy as a birthday gift. It is an absolute joy to read with the large print. The concordance, dictionary and reference system, plus construction of the Bible altogether, make this my favorite Bible. The print is very dark and I am surprised at the very little ghosting noticeable. The paper is nice and easy on the eyes. It’s like holding a piece of history in the hand. Beautifully built to enjoy and last a very long time.

Awesome Bible! The quality in every detail is superb, and thus I am amazed that CBP can produce such a quality product for seventy-five bucks! The leather cover looks and feels wonderful, and the gilting is about the finest I have ever personally seen. It’s a well-constructed Bible, which I expect to last for many, many years.
My only complaint: Bleed-through is rather bad (If you look at the images of the text in the pictures CBP offers above, and take notice, you can see it). I have not had this issue with even very cheap bibles, which also have dark text, so I don’t why CBP dropped the ball on this one aspect.
But thankfully, the text is dark and large and well-spaced, and it is still a pleasure to read. Once you read this, there is really no going back to other Bibles! This has instantly become my main Bible; my ‘good’ Bible- and I’m sure I will have it the rest of my life.
One not to CBP: I do wish these Bibles and also the handsized ones were offered without the concordance and dictionary- and just retain the cross refs and the translators notes. The Bibles could be substantially thinner if this were the case; also wish that there was a black letter edition (I hate red-letter NTs! -But if you have to have one….at least this one is done beautifully.)
All in all, get this Bible! You will absolutely love it, and consider it a bargain (I doubt they will be able to keep prices this low for this quality for very much longer).
Now I’m off to get me a handsized also, as a second Bible- ’cause once you have these CBP Bibles, your old ones just will not do. The quality! The smell! These Bibles befitting of the Word Of God! It’s finally time to retire my old Collins Long Primer!
