Andrew –
By the grace of Jesus Christ, I am called to be minister of the Gospel. For 20yrs I have been a minister, and this is the first time I have had a Bible this nice.
As many others I used a bearing precious seed Bible, or other Bibles, and every five or six years, I would need a new one from ware. Well that time came up a couple of weeks ago, and I thought that if I spring for a real fancy Bible it will last me a real long time, and I really hope this one does (although I am very hard on my Bibles).
As another person mentioned, and I did not really realize, this Bible is huge, and has some weight to it. Being a preacher from the newer generation, I do all of my study and cross referencing on the computer, sometimes on the phone. So I usually choose a Bible that does not have extras, but has bigger print, so it is easier for me to find my place with a glance while in the pulpit. So this Bible is literally more than 2x the size of my last Bible. I did not see a Bible from here that was just the Scriptures and no extras, So I went with this one. The extra pages in this Bible are many. I have to get used to flipping through the Bible because the scriptures end well before the end of the Bible. There is a good quarter inch or so of extra notes at the end.
This Bible seems to be extremely well bound together, and the look and feel of the leather is amazing! I feel like I am holding a real preachers Bible.
Some of the things I am impressed with. :
I received this Bible on 3/11/25. Today is 3/16/25 and I have used it now for Wednesday and Sunday services as well as my daily time.
– I did receive this Bible speedily and in fantastic condition.
– I liked the leader of the publishers statement when He said Gods people should be able to go to Gods people for their weapons instead of to the world.
– I love the color of the leather. I did not used to be a red Bible type of guy till I bought a used Bible of off eBay and it just so happened to be red (my last Bible). So I figured I would get a red one again. This cranberry color and grain is so fantastic. It is a deep red, and absolutely beautiful. I am so glad I chose this.
– The excess leather around the edges is nice. I was not sure I would like the full yapp always flipping to scriptures in the pulpit and having never handled one before. This is not the full yapp, but it hangs over the edge a good 1/4 of an inch. It makes the Bible seem protected and it makes it seem like a quality binding.
– I very much like the many thicker blank pages in the front and back of the Bible! In my last Bible it had the page after the cover and then one more page and it started into the scriptures. This one has 4 thick note pages, before the presentation page and marriage stuff. Not including the first two thick pages that have extra glue on it and really make sure the front inner and rear part of the binding is extremely secure. This makes me very happy, for two reasons. The Bible I thought was a quality Bible (was used and old) but just after I received it the pages on the inside by the spine split and I was very disappointed. I do not see this happening at all with how secure they have it in the front and back.
Secondly, even though I do not personally take a lot of notes in my Bible or in the margins. Although whenever I do hear a quote or find a truth from scriptures that is of major importance to me, I write it in the beginning of my Bible. Then I carry those over from Bible to Bible. My last Bible was packed, but now there is room again!
– I very much like how this Bible lays. With only having the Bible for five days I expected to fight with it behind the pulpit (today being Sunday). But I opened it and laid it on the pulpit, and it was perfect, like it had been used a hundred times. It did not try to close, the pages did not flip on me, nothing. It was perfect and smooth. The pages did not stick either while turning it. I literally thought wow!
– I did not know what I would think of three ribbons in the Bible. I only have ever used one. And these are really big. I actually looked to see if there was an option to get less ribbons but I did not see one. Anyways here we are a few days in, and it doesn’t seem bad. One of the things that crossed my mind, was I would be flipping to a scripture and the ribbons would stop me, or the flip would just automatically find the ribbon and jump a chunk of pages before or after. But so far it does not do this. To be honest it seems the Bible is so big, it just glides over the ribbon-ed pages just like normal pages, impeding the flip none. Now I need to figure out how to use three ribbons. They also seem to fit nice in the Bible, not bunching up in the pages. You can lift them a little at the top, and have them lay real flat without any folds.
A Couple of things I wish where present (I am sure they will tell me when I ask them).
1. Directions on how to care for this fine leather? Do you put a conditioner on it every year, or is there any other tips or tricks to keep it in good shape for longer?
2. How to treat a new Bible. My wife said when you get a new Bible you open it and every few of pages you run your fingers down the inside of the binding to help it open and turn well. (I do not know if this is official care. or if there needs to be a first time use instructions). But doing this seems to help the Bible lay wonderfully.
3. Do they or can they rebind their Bibles after years? (just a question i wonder about.)
(none of these may be present in their Bibles, because they are not needed. As I said, I need to ask them.)
4. I wish there was detailed descriptions on the Bible listing of what each type of Bible is and how it differed from another one. It took me a long time of looking at the pictures and different listings to understand what some of them where. I still have no idea what the real difference is between this Bible and the “turquoises” Bible. Everything listed in the listing is the exact same, except for size and that one has a little bigger margin (which I was considering getting). A little more of an explanation would be nice if they would consider adding that.
In conclusion, I like this Bible a lot! Am glad of being able to have it. I also see myself as being a return costumer, hopefully in about 15yrs… Aren’t we special as Americans to be able to hold such high class copies of Gods Word?!

I love this bible. I received it quicker than it said it would come. It is very beautiful and well manufactured. The large print is very bold and easy to read. The red letter is very bold and easy to read also. The maps are really nice. I love the dictionary in the back. The leather is unique and very nice. The ribbons are nice also. It is a big bible. So if you are looking for something smaller the handsize would be better. But to get the large print and bible dictionary included it is expected to be larger. Thank you CBP for this wonderful bible. God bless. Love to all.
