Have you ever started something, knowing you were getting in over your head and yet you tried it anyways? (I’m sure, if the majority of us stopped to think about it, we have all done this at one point or another in life and could raise a figurative hand.) What is my point in asking such a question? It was asked in the sprit of being truthful, transparent and honest. We are definitely still learning the intricate details, the “ins and outs” of blogging, and, admittedly so, have a long way to go. You see, we are among the first in our industry to start a business related blog and are having to tweak and learn new things with each blog post written.
With that being said, for today’s post we are going to give you an update on what we are bring through in the shop this week. Basically, this is to let you know how it is going on the projects we are working on in order to bring you new or restocked products in the near future.
This past week we were able to bring a small amount of the Large Print Thompson Chain Reference Bibles through the bindery. Though that batch is almost sold out already, we have started another manufacturing run to bring the supply back to a sufficient amount in order to keep up with the demand of product orders. For the first time in our history, we introduced a Large Print TCR in the Redeemer Series Lambskin leather with our proprietary standard of silver gilding and red ribbon markers for that series. This new product style was well received and we are delighted to have met a need among our customer base.
We have started the beginning stages of a new Limited Edition, for the month of April, out of another popular selling text style. The trial books went through last week and the additional supplies for manufacturing arrived at the end of this past week. With the shipping delays our country has been experiencing, being able to acquire the manufacturing goods in a timely manner has proved difficult. Having all of our supplies on hand at one time, instead of having to put a project on hold, is indeed a blessing we do not take lightly.
The final topic we would like to update you all on is that of the Midsize Thompson Chain Reference Bibles. We understand that we notified our customers that we were sending a licensed file to the printing company in the month of December. This was stated with hopes of the book blocks arriving in the month of January as the printers had said would be possible. Due to printing delays, the printing company unable to be manned at full capacity since March 2020, etc, we are now being told that we may finally see them in the month of April. We sincerely apologize for the many delays we were unaware would occur with this printing. The good news within this update is that the leather, (Platinum and Yapp Water Buffalo, Corporate Calfskin, Redeemer Lambskin, and a new Cowhide), along with the smaller manufacturing supplies are on hand for production to start immediately upon the arrival of the book blocks.
Going forward from where we are right now, at the current place of the text styles in production, we will continue to keep our customers / followers updated through our social media outlets, this blog, and, most importantly, our email subscribers on our email list. If you are not signed up for our emails, we would like to encourage you to do so from our home page on the website.
