Why does my Bible make a "crackle" sound in the gutter?
The crackling comes from the amount of water that the paper mill adds to the paper as it is being made. there is a range of too little to too much moisture that can be added to the mixture. In the industry, this sound is known as “cockling”. All Bible have this sound to a certain degree, unfortunately, some will sound louder than others. Due to this problem taking place in the manufacturing of the paper itself, CBP is unable to warranty any Bibles with this issue.
